Everybody Loves Jelly Beans: Sports Beans Giveaway Contest!
My old coach had given me several boxes of Jelly Belly Sports Beans that are "best before" March, 2012. I have 2 full boxes of Sports Beans and I need some help eating
I’ll use several for training, but would like to give some away to others that are still training this winter and could take advantage of them.
If you haven’t had them before, Jelly Belly makes these incredible tasty jelly beans for sports. I know many of you know that a few carbs can help out on a long run
So carbs, electrolytes, and Vitamin B and C make this an AWESOME replacement for a gu/gel pack. Each pack is 100 calories and also contains sodium and potassium.
3 lucky readers will get a padded envelope with 10 packs of Jelly Belly Sports Beans.
How to enter:
- Tweet this post and comment below! 1 entry

Hi! I am training to run my first half marathon in January. The biggest problem I have is my sciatic (sp) nerve acting up. Any advice? By-the-way, I am Crissi’s step-aunt from Ohio.
Hey Marge! Congrats on training for your first half! Is the pain ongoing? or just occur when running?
Running uses a lot of the muscles that surround the sciatic nerve, but it’s usually spinal alignment that causes compression of the nerve. If it feels related to running, you might try taking smaller (shorter) steps. I’ve heard of some heel strikers that are landing on their heel when they land – they tend to have straight knees and the impact goes through their knees, hips and back. Let me know if you’d like to talk on the phone sometime
Crissi has my number!
I’ve tried the orange flavored beans and liked them. Need to look around and see if I already own some of your wife’s books! (did the re-tweet)
Tweeting! Never used sports beans or gel before but now that I’m taking my runs over 1 hour maybe I should.
Have added you to my blog roll…
